Job summary

DuPage PADS, Inc. is seeking an Interim Housing Case Worker for Sundays and Mondays 3-11pm. The role provides intake, assessment, referrals, crisis intervention, advocacy, and engagement with program participants within the Interim Housing system.

You will document, coordinate, and support participants toward higher levels of service, while maintaining logs and collaborating with volunteers and staff. Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, and mental health, plus strong communication and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Intake and crisis intervention experience.
• Understanding of homelessness, poverty, and mental health issues.
• Strong engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Screen and intake program participants for Interim Housing.
• Provide appropriate referrals to the Client Service Center.
• Engage participants to move them to the next level of service.
• Document and report emergencies to the Interim Housing Director.
• Coordinate with volunteers to insure overnight site operations.
• Provide education and advocacy on agency programs with volunteers.
• Provide required forms and information to the Interim Housing Director and staff.
• Maintain nightly information log for the Interim Housing Coordinator.
• Attend required meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
