Great Performances in New York City seeks a Part-Time Host for Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center. You will be the first and last contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth seating.

The role focuses on reservations, guest flow, and front-of-house coordination in a high-energy live jazz setting. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of guest-facing hospitality experience, superb customer service, and the ability to stay calm during peak hours.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Host/Hostess or similar guest-facing hospitality experience in high-volume NYC settings.
• Strong restaurant etiquette and front-of-house operation knowledge.
• Experience managing reservations, waitlists, and guest flow.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy service.
• Flexible part-time schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Escort guests to dining or bar areas and present menus.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, seating assignments.
• Communicate with servers and management about table availability.
• Answer calls, handle voicemails, and provide guest information.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area and assist the team.
• Provide coat check and support front-of-house operations.
