Job summary

Allied Universal in Los Angeles is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Hospital Patrol. You will provide unarmed security, assist patients and staff, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents in a healthcare setting.

Schedule Wed and Thu 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; pay rate $18.26 per hour. Fluent Spanish required; minimum 6 months security experience; HS diploma; background check and possible drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check may be required; subject to laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts, and report unusual conditions to site contacts and leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and emergency responders.
