Job summary

As an unarmed officer in a healthcare setting, you will provide excellent customer service, maintain a visible presence, and follow site procedures and emergency protocols. A high school diploma and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
