Qualifications

• License requirements vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to leadership.
