Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Whittier, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include patient and staff security, incident response, and regular site patrols, supporting a healthcare location. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred prior security or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, with de‑escalation and reporting when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points to control entry/exit and report hazards or suspicious behavior.
• Document incidents and daily observations in reports and communicate updates to supervisors and site contacts.
