Job summary

HopeHealth, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Medical Doctor in Providence, RI to serve as medical director for a hospice team caring for 80–100 home patients.

You’ll perform 16 hours of clinical visits weekly and 8 hours as Doctor of the Day, supporting daily admissions and coverage decisions. You’ll collaborate with admission nurses to determine eligibility, write terminal illness statements, and decide on medication coverage, providing initial hospice care until the team assumes continuity.

Qualifications

• Medical director for a RI hospice team caring for 80–100 home hospice patients.
• 16 hours/week for clinical visits; 8 hours/week as Doctor of the Day.
• Collaborate with admission nurses to determine eligibility and write terminal illness statements.
• Decide on medication coverage and provide initial hospice care until the primary team assumes care.
• Join an established hospice team within a seven-team organization.
• Academic appointment with Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
