Job summary

BrightStar Care Karing Hent, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time In-Home Caregiver to provide personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping for clients in their homes in Edina, MN.

Available shifts include 6:00 AM-12:00 PM, 12:00 PM-5:00 PM, and 5:00 PM-10:00 PM; additional hours may be available for those interested in extra shifts. Ideal candidates are compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent.

Qualifications

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting).
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communicate with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.
