Job summary

The Children’s Home Society is seeking a Part-Time Head Start Classroom Support Staff/Floater in Trenton, NJ. You will assist teachers and aides in daily activities, help maintain a safe, clean classroom, and support Head Start centers as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (CDA credential within 2 years if no Associate's degree) and prior experience with preschool children; bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with preschool aged children

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with children and staff.
• Assist teaching staff with classroom activities and routines.
• Escort children to and from bus, bathroom, recess, and trips.
• Eat with children family style and model good manners.
• Assist with end-of-day classroom clean-up.
