Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with children and staff.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in children's responses and needs through communication, care, and support.
• Assist teaching staff with daily programs and activities.
• Help manage classroom behavior with sensitivity to individual needs.
• Communicate any classroom, child, or procedural concerns to teachers.
• Escort children to and from bus, bathroom, recess, and trips as assigned.
• Model good manners and encourage children to share and try new foods.
• Help with end-of-day classroom clean-up.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of staff, parents, and children.
• Attend mandated trainings and team meetings and pursue staff development.
