Qualifications

• Must have a CDA or enroll immediately in CDA program or early childhood coursework leading to an associate or bachelor degree.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational activities and interact developmentally with children.
• Assist in observing, screening, assessing, and documenting children's growth; record in blue books.
• Assist in performing administrative duties as delegated by the teacher.
• Assume teacher responsibilities in the teacher's absence.
• Prepare and maintain attendance and classroom records; report in-kind monthly.
• Attend weekly Center staff meetings and trainings; participate in workshops.
• Encourage and coordinate parent and volunteer involvement; accompany Home Visits and Parent/Teacher conferences.
• Carry out any other Head Start tasks as delegated by the Teacher or management.
