Job summary

SuperSummary seeks an experienced Head of Finance to own FP&A, accounting, and strategic partnering. This part-time role (10-20 hours/week) reports to the CEO, collaborates with Operations, and drives budget, forecasts, and KPI reporting for a subscription business.

The ideal candidate has SaaS finance background, strong GAAP knowledge, and comfort managing billing platforms and AI-enhanced workflows. Remote-first team, flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in a SaaS or subscription business.
• Hands-on FP&A depth with driver-based models, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Strong SaaS metrics fluency: MRR/ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, payback, net dollar retention.
• CPA/CMA or equivalent certification is a strong plus; remote collaboration experience.
• Experience with ChargeBee/Stripe billing data and GAAP/ASC 606 or IFRS 15.

Responsibilities

• Own FP&A cadence: budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis with leadership dashboards.
• Partner with leadership and department heads on budget reviews and resource plans.
• Oversee controllership tasks: monthly close, revenue recognition, billing platform ops.
• Evaluate tools, automate processes, and leverage AI for reconciliation and reporting.
• Communicate financial context to non-finance stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.
