Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking an Ice Cream Specialist for a part-time role (25 hours or less per week) in the United States. You may work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift with a pay range of $11.50/hr - $13.50/hr. Reports to Store Manager and you must be at least 16 years old.

The role focuses on delivering the Hi Five Guest Experience, making hand-dipped cones, shakes and other items, operating the POS system and gas console, stocking, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and to operate all store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete required records.
• Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box and place for proper display.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for short periods.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Overall Guest Services: provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience and greet Guests.
• DipSide Guest Services: prepare shakes, malts, cones and sundaes and related items.
• Efficient Operation of Point of Sale System and Gas Console: process transactions and manage gas sales.
• Stocking Merchandise: keep shelves and freezers stocked and presentable.
• Security: monitor guests and follow cash-handling and safety procedures.
• Maintenance: keep store and equipment clean and temperatures monitored.
• Reporting: complete time records and documentation accurately.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
