Job summary

Plainfield Park District's Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC) seeks a friendly Guest Services Coordinator for a part-time schedule. You will oversee Guest Services, manage staff scheduling, training, and registration processes, and support the recreation department.

Benefits include IMRF pension, vacation, holidays, and a gym membership. Typical hours are 8:30am-12:30pm Monday through Friday, with nights and weekends as needed; pay rate is $20.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
• Candidate must be dependable and able to possess good judgment in difficult situations.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with the public and other staff.
• C.P.R., AED, and First Aid Certification required; or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire date.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge; Experience with RecTrac is preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and facilitates training for guest services staff.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining customer service standards.
• Ensures guest services staff completes clerical and registration functions according to park district guidelines and expectations.
• Oversees functional use of RecTrac and WebTrac systems, ensuring efficient utilization, adherence to best practices, and accurate recordkeeping
• Covers Guest services desk on a regular basis, including nights and weekends as necessary.
• Promptly addresses patron inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
