Job summary

Palatine Park District in Rolling Meadows, IL is hiring for Fitness Center Attendants to help maintain the fitness center and assist our members. You will check-in members, promote excellent member relations, greet guests, and handle questions about the fitness area.

This role involves assisting with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, processing memberships and registrations, and supporting administrative tasks. Minimum age is 18 with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years old.

Position Summary

Palatine Park District is hiring for Fitness Center Attendants. If you enjoy fitness and working with the public and helping others, this job is for you! This position is responsible for maintaining the Fitness Center and assisting our members by completing the following tasks:

• Check-in fitness members and guests
• Maintain and promote excellent member relations and open communication with all current and potential new fitness members, guests and visitors
• Greet and direct members in person and on the phone while answering fitness area questions and providing pertinent information specific to the fitness area
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the fitness center facility/equipment
• Process POS items, memberships, and personal training registrations
• Assist in administrative internal support tasks as assigned including but not limited to general reporting, cleanliness of fitness floor, etc.
• High school graduate or equivalent and must be at least 18 years of age
• Requires strong people and customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public
• Enthusiastic attitude and great work ethic
