Job summary

Thies & Talle Management, Inc. is hiring a part-time Groundskeeper for our Grand Rapids, MN apartment community. This role is roughly 20 hours per week and focuses on grounds maintenance and upkeep. Must be dependable; Equal Opportunity Employer.

The Groundskeeper will maintain the property's exterior, assist with landscape tasks, and work under the supervision of the Property Manager. Physical endurance and ability to work evenings or weekends as needed are required.

Qualifications

• To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Education and experience in housekeeping, caretaking, or janitorial work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut lawns.
• Trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and growth.
• Sprays lawns, shrubs and trees with fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides.
• Rakes and bags leaves.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
• Spreads salt on public passageways to prevent ice build-up.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Waters lawns and shrubs.
• Repairs fences, gates, walls and walks.
• Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
• Sharpens tools such as weed cutters and edgers.
• Notifies supervisor of safety issues.
• Interacts with residents to maintain good communication.
