Hornig Companies seeks a part-time Buildings and Grounds technician in the Chaska area. The role covers lawn care, snow removal, building upkeep, turnover cleaning, and misc duties across properties.

You will operate light equipment, manage pest control, and assist with seasonal projects while maintaining safety and efficiency. The position emphasizes hands-on contributions, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license within 2 months of employment.
• Experience operating light lawn and maintenance equipment (snow blowers, mowers, trimmers).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license and meet car insurance requirements.
• Willingness to learn and work independently or with a team.
• Multi-housing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance including lawn care, snow removal, and shrub upkeep as described.
• Turnover cleaning for apartment units and trash-outs with proper disposal and storage.
• Assist with pest control and maintenance tasks as needed; coordinate with contracted services.
