Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks an experienced physician for a part-time role in skilled nursing facilities, 3 days per week. You will manage your own patient panel and provide primary and episodic care, building long-term relationships with residents and families.

You’ll have 6-hour shifts with morning rounds 7–10 a.m., chart from home after rounds, and a choice between productivity-based pay or a shift-rate model. CME stipend, iPad, and lab coat are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Valid, unrestricted physician license in the state of operation.
• Must be opted-in with Medicare.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency program.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong independent clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• See roughly 16–25 patients per day with long-term and acute care needs.
• Perform annual wellness visits and H&Ps, manage chronic conditions.
• Respond to acute changes, review meds and orders.
• Coordinate with collaborating specialists and facility staff for seamless care.
• Join care conferences and stay in touch with families as appropriate.
