Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; technical certification or Associate Degree preferred.
• Mechanical skills in troubleshooting, electrical theory, and understanding of AC/DC motors.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office products is ideal.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition.
• Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including but not limited to: parts washers/steamers, etc.
• Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
• Assist in the rewind of various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Role Mission

Under the guidance of the Shop Manager and shop personnel, the General Laborer will provide assistance to the Electric Motor Mechanics, Winders, and Machinist on repairs.

Key Job Responsibilities
