Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Technical Certification or Associate's Degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Prior experience as a motor winder a plus, but willing to train.
• Experience in industrial, electro-mechanical, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electro-mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Test winding conditions according to EASA standards.
• Document motor data including electro-magnetic characteristics and operating conditions.
• Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable equipment.
• Prepare and inspect reusable parts for rewinding.
• Perform rewinding using proper insulating techniques.
• Test rewound equipment and document results.
• Operate specialized equipment such as winding machines and power tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Shop Manager, the Electric Motor Winder is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and rewinding a variety of electro‑mechanical equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect electro‑mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions
• Test winding conditions according to EASA standards
• Document motor data including electro‑magnetic characteristics and operating conditions
• Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
• Prepare and inspect reusable parts for rewinding
• Perform rewinding using proper insulating techniques
• Test rewound equipment and document results
• Operate specialized equipment such as winding machines, surge testers, core‑loss testers, ovens, cranes, forklifts, and power tools
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Adhere to company policies and perform additional duties as assigned
