Kurz Industrial Solutions is seeking an Electric Motor Winder in Neenah, WI. This role involves inspecting and repairing a variety of electro‑mechanical equipment under the direction of the Shop Manager. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and be willing to be trained if necessary.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a motor winder is a plus but willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electro‑mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Test winding conditions according to EASA standards.
• Perform rewinding using proper insulating techniques.
• Operate specialized equipment such as cranes and forklifts.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Shop Manager, the Electric Motor Winder is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and rewinding a variety of electro‑mechanical equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect electro‑mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions
• Test winding conditions according to EASA standards
• Document motor data including electro‑magnetic characteristics and operating conditions
• Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable equipment
• Prepare and inspect reusable parts for rewinding
• Perform rewinding using proper insulating techniques
• Test rewound equipment and document results
• Operate specialized equipment such as winding machines, surge testers, core‑loss testers, ovens, cranes, forklifts, and power tools
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Adhere to company policies and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
