Job summary

Vetro Glassblowing Studio and Fine Art Gallery in Grapevine, TX seeks a friendly Gallery Assistant for a flexible part-time schedule Tuesday–Saturday 9:00am–6:30pm, primarily Thu–Sat. You will greet customers, support glassblowing experiences check-in, and help maintain gallery standards while delivering a memorable art-buying experience.

This role offers a chance to develop content for social media, including videography and photography of artwork, with opportunities to edit and write captions.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or gallery setting is helpful.
• Ability to engage customers and create a positive experience.
• Familiarity with Google Drive/Sheets preferred.

Job description

Vetro Glassblowing Studio and Fine Art Gallery is a family-owned business established in Grapevine for 20+ years with a positive learning environment that welcomes new outlooks! We are looking for a Gallery Assistant.

Flexible part-time schedule with hours between: Tuesday – Saturday 9:00am – 6:30pm. Primary hours will be Thursday-Saturday, although occasionally could use help during the week, especially Tuesdays.

Gallery Assistants are responsible for maintaining the standards of the gallery, welcoming all customers to the gallery and the studio, and connecting with customers to provide them with the best experience as they purchase one of a kind art glass. The Gallery Assistant will also help check in ticket holders for glassblowing experiences. For this proficiency in Google Drive applications is preferred, primarily Google Sheets.

This position will also offer the opportunity to develop content from both the studio and gallery for social media. Responsibilities may include videography of artwork creation processes in the studio, photographing finished artwork, gallery displays, and editing and writing content for social media.

Must be detail oriented, personable, open to new experiences, calm and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Someone comfortable across different social media platforms, aware of social media trends and engagement, and with an eye for design is preferred.
