Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service, greet customers, and assist with checkout and To-Go orders. The role requires cash handling, basic math, and the ability to maintain a clean, welcoming front-end area.

You’ll work with team members to uphold Food Lion customer service standards and safety policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, easy, friendly service to customers and greet them by name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and assist with bagging as needed.
• Handle scanning, payments and cash transactions per standard practice.
• Assist with front-end standards, referrals to the CSM/ACSM as needed.
• Maintain neat front-end area and restock as required.
• Follow safety, loss-prevention, and courtesy procedures at all times.
