Food Lion is seeking a dedicated Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly and efficient service at the checkout and front-end areas. You will greet customers, handle payments, bag groceries, and ensure a clean, organized service lane.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a busy retail environment while upholding Food Lion standards and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Assist with checkout and payment transactions, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for bagging, cash handling, refunds and overrides.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car or deliver services as applicable.
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and restock supplies as needed.
