Job summary

Allied Universal in Brooklyn Heights, NY is seeking a Part Time Security Officer specializing in access control at a residential building. Welcome residents and visitors, manage front desk operations, monitor entry, and deliver outstanding customer service to create a safe community atmosphere.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer use, and eligibility for licensing where required.

Qualifications

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at the front desk.
Monitor building access, verify visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with residential property procedures.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities when needed.
Observe front desk and lobby activity, report unusual conditions or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or appropriate personnel.
