Allied Universal in Brooklyn Heights, NY is seeking a Part Time Security Officer specializing in access control at a residential building. Welcome residents and visitors, manage front desk operations, monitor entry, and deliver outstanding customer service to create a safe community atmosphere.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer use, and eligibility for licensing where required.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at the front desk.
• Monitor building access, verify visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with residential property procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities when needed.
• Observe front desk and lobby activity, report unusual conditions or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:
