Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Front Desk Operations. You will serve residents, visitors, and staff, manage access, greet guests, and monitor security systems to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, familiarity with front-desk procedures, and the ability to work day shifts. A high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, manage guest and vendor access, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor front-desk communications, cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems, and promptly report unusual activity or equipment concerns.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, provide directions and general assistance, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access-control practices.
