Job summary

FX Physical Therapy in Eldersburg, MD is seeking a part-time Clinic Assistant to be the first and last contact for our patients. You will represent FX with a friendly, upbeat, and professional demeanor while supporting the therapists and office coordinator.

Responsibilities include patient intake, collecting copays, verifying insurance, rescheduling appointments, and keeping the clinic organized. Prior PT experience is a plus, but not required; strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred knowledge of physical therapy field but not required.
• Preferred experience verifying insurance benefits but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Must demonstrate professionalism with patients and employees

• Reliable and takes initiative to complete tasks and protocol accurately and thoroughly
• General knowledge of FX Physical Therapy services
• Follow proper procedure for patient intake at the beginning of their appointment
• Properly collecting patient copays, deductibles and/or past due amounts in POS system
• Follow up and reschedule all appointments that have been canceled
• Contact new patient leads in order to get them scheduled
• Ensures that the clinic is kept clean, neat and organized
• General knowledge and ability to verify insurance benefits for all new patients
