Brookings Health System is seeking a Receptionist to join our team in Brookings, South Dakota. This part-time role (24 hours per week) covers 6:30 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, on-site at Brookings, SD.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a reception, customer service, healthcare, or related role is preferred, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional environment for patients and visitors.
• Possesses the ability to accurately handle, process, and balance financial transactions while maintaining accountability and attention to detail.
• Consistently demonstrates warmth, compassion, and empathy in interactions with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
• Uses professional phone etiquette and active listening skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, visitors, providers, and departments.
• Maintains the highest standards of patient confidentiality and privacy.
