Job summary

Houston Ballet in Houston, TX seeks a courteous receptionist and switchboard operator for the Center for Dance. This part-time role requires reliable coverage on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with varying hours.

You will greet guests, screen visitors, answer and forward calls, sign in guests, and help with mail and deliveries. Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred to serve a diverse audience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as an official greeter for guests entering the Center for Dance.
• Screen visitors for COVID-19 protocols and sign in guests.
• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate departments.
• Prepare badges and escort guests as needed.
• Receive and distribute mail; coordinate Federal Express pickups.
• Unlock gates/doors as required and monitor vending machine shortages.
