Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a part-time cook to prepare high-quality meals in our kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain safety standards, and ensure proper temperatures while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and 1 year of cooking or 2 years in food service; state food safety certification within 90 days is expected. 20 hours weekly with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year of cook experience or 2 years in food service preferred.
• Graduate of vocational school or culinary program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food from scratch following standardized recipes.
• Cook to order and in quantities per menu and number of servings.
• Maintain sanitation, temperature logs, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Observe cooking procedures to ensure foods are cooked sufficiently.
• Assist with dishwashing and orders for supplies.
• Work well in a team and independently.
