Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Two years general office experience preferred.
• One year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend FedEx service products to assist customers.
• Experience with general office equipment and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical functions (maintaining files, copying, imaging, answering phones, data entry, mail/distribution).
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide information and assistance to customers (pickup/delivery needs, service options, and leads).
• Enter freight shipment information, status updates, and generate bills.
• Administer freight pick-up process as required.
• Assist customers via phone/email/fax with inquiries (tracking, quotes, billing).
• Make freight delivery appointments as required.
• Review Hours-of-Service logs and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with city operations and drivers on documentation and drop-offs.
• Communicate with sales/operations to resolve customer needs.
