Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Lufkin, TX is seeking a Part Time Yard Crewmember to assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products and provide general store support.

You will greet customers, load and unload goods, respond to product questions, perform safety checks, keep the yard tidy, and help protect materials from weather damage. Starting pay is $15 per hour with potential for weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift operator certification required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work professionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the yard.
• Load and unload products safely for customers, vendors and company vehicles.
• Answer customer questions regarding products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lumberyard and warehouses.
• Perform routine safety checks on forklifts and equipment.
• Move and stock materials in the yard and store interior.
• Verify tickets match merchandise and protect items from weather damage.
• Operate a forklift and assist with general store duties.
