Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Richwood, TX is seeking a Part-Time Yard Crewmember to assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products and provide general store support.

You will greet customers, load and unload items, respond to product questions, move stock, perform forklift safety checks and keep the yard clean and organized. Some overtime, nights, weekends may apply; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• On-the-job training completed; levels 1 and 2 of positional training.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the yard.
• Load and unload products safely for customers and vendors.
• Answer customers' questions about products.
• Inform management of customer complaints or requests in a timely manner.
• Move and stock building materials in yard and warehouses.
• Perform forklift safety checks according to guidelines.
• Keep lumberyard and warehouses clean and organized.
• Verify tickets match merchandise being loaded.
• Cover exposed materials to prevent weather damage.
• Cut lumber and related materials as requested by customers.
• Operate a forklift.
• Attend store meetings and training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
