Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Cleburne, TX is looking for a part-time Yard Crewmember to assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support.

You will greet customers, load and unload, answer questions, perform safety checks, and help keep the lumberyard and warehouses clean. Forklift certification is required.

The role may require overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must follow instructions without constant supervision.
• Professional and courteous behavior at all times.
• Knowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns.
• Ability to adjust machine controls to precise positions.
• Must complete company training and McCoy’s forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they enter the yard.
• Loads and unloads products for customers/vendors/company vehicles.
• Responds to customer questions about products.
• Informs management of customer complaints or requests promptly.
• Moves, stocks, and rearranges materials in yard and store interior.
• Performs forklift safety checks per guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness of lumberyard/warehouses; stacks items squarely.
• Verifies tickets match loaded merchandise.
• Covers exposed materials to prevent weather damage.
• Cuts lumber and related materials as requested.
• Attends all store meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
