Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks a Part-Time Instructor for the Flooring Installation Technician program. Instructors will provide hands-on and classroom instruction to prepare students for entry-level employment in the flooring industry.

The program consists of four 75-hour modules that may be delivered independently or as part of a comprehensive 300-hour Flooring Installation Technician program. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of

Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in flooring installation, construction trades, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively teach adult learners from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction in one or more flooring installation modules.
Prepare and present course materials, demonstrations, and hands-on training activities.
Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and classroom assignments.
Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and assessment documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Provide industry insights and best practices for workforce readiness.
Collaborate with DWED staff to support student success and program objectives.
