The College of Southern Nevada's Division of Workforce & Economic Development seeks Part-Time Instructors for the Flooring Installation Technician program. Instructors will deliver hands-on and classroom instruction to prepare students for entry-level flooring jobs.

The program includes four 75-hour modules and a 300-hour pathway, with options to take modules individually. CSN emphasizes safety, practical assessments, and industry best practices.

Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada's Division of Workforce &Economic Development is seeking experienced flooring professionalsto serve as Part-Time Instructors for the Flooring InstallationTechnician program. Instructors will provide hands-on and classroominstruction designed to prepare students for entry-level employmentin the flooring industry. The program consists of four 75-hourmodules that may be delivered independently or as part of acomprehensive 300-hour Flooring Installation Technicianprogram.

Program Modules

• Carpet Installation (100 hours)
• Resilient Flooring Installation (100 hours)
• Hardwood Flooring Installation (100 hours)
• Tile Installation (75 hours/25 hours incorporated as intro toeach of the above trainings)
• Students may enroll in individual modules to developspecialized skills or complete all four modules to earncomprehensive Flooring Installation Technician training.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience inflooring installation, construction trades, or a relatedfield.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Carpet Installation
  • Resilient Flooring Installation
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation
  • Tile Installation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively teach adult learners from diversebackgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or workforcedevelopment experience.
• Industry certifications related to flooring installation orconstruction trades.
• Experience working with apprenticeship, workforce training, orcommunity education programs.

Work Schedule

• Part-time, temporary instructional assignment.
• Flexible schedules may include daytime, evening, or weekendclasses based on program needs.
• Assignments may be available for individual 75-hour modules ormultiple modules.

Salary Information

• $40.00 per hour
• No benefits associated with part-time temporary instructionalassignments.
