Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in the building or construction trades.
• Demonstrated expertise in carpentry, construction, framing, or related skilled trades.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.
• Ability to teach and mentor adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with curriculum development and Canvas LMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in building trades.
• Develop lesson plans and competency-based instructional materials aligned with industry standards.
• Prepare students for nationally recognized credentials including NCCER Core, OSHA 10/30, and First Aid/CPR.
• Maintain a safe instructional environment and proper PPE usage.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with local contractors, employers, labor organizations, apprenticeship programs, and workforce partners.
