Job summary

Med-Trans is seeking a Part-Time Flight Paramedic to join a team of air transportation experts delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves transporting patients and performing scene call work with a strong emphasis on safety and professional standards.

Requirements include EMT-P licensure in applicable states, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, trauma certifications, and FP-C within 24 months. The position offers a competitive starting wage with an area stipend and company housing while on shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a 911 or critical care setting.
• EMT-P license in states served by the assigned area.
• FP-C certification required within 24 months from date of hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required before flight status.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competence through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Education Manual.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and routine maintenance.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings; complete required documentation.
