Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is hiring a Part-Time Flight Paramedic to transport patients and perform scene call work with a professional air-transport team. The role emphasizes safety, high-quality patient care, and adherence to standards.

The position requires active EMT-Paramedic licensure, multiple core certifications, and FP-C within 24 months. A 24-hour shift weekly schedule is typical, with company-paid crew housing while on shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handover.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures.
• Know how to use and maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS reps, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission and debriefings.
• Assist in liftoff checks and pilot support as needed.
• Comply with safety standards to protect crew and patients.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open/based shifts as directed by Regional Director.
