Job summary

Lansing Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach Physical Fitness courses in the Electrical Utility Lineworker Program. Teaching will be primarily on LCC's West Campus with possible assignments downtown Lansing, East campus, or online, and on-campus presence is required.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering didactic and lab instruction, assessing students, and collaborating with department faculty to align with official syllabi and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and ongoing certification in fitness-related field.
• Current National Fitness certification must be maintained throughout employment.
• Experience in fitness or related field; ability to work with a diverse population and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in didactic and lab formats for Physical Fitness, per course syllabi.
• Plan and prepare course materials, deliver instruction, assess and provide feedback.
• Assess and grade students; hold office hours and advise as needed.
• Collaborate with senior department faculty and Program Director to align content with industry standards.
