Job summary

Lopatcong Township is seeking a Part-time Fire Subcode Official/Inspector on an as-needed basis to administer the Fire Protection Subcode within the jurisdiction. Under the direction of the Construction Official, you will inspect projects to ensure compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code.

Essential qualifications include New Jersey residency, 18 years or older, a high school diploma, a valid Fire Protection Inspector license (RCS/ICS/HHS) issued by the NJ DCA, and a minimum of five

Qualifications

• Residency in New Jersey
• Must be 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Fire Protection Inspector license at RCS/ICS/HHS level issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience

Responsibilities

• Administer the Fire Protection Subcode of the State Uniform Construction Code within the jurisdiction.
• Inspect and supervise construction project inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications for fire protection.
• Perform related duties as required under the direction of the Construction Official.
