Job summary

Lone Star College seeks a part-time CE Adjunct Field Supervisor to oversee, mentor, and evaluate teacher candidates during clinical and field-based experiences. The role ensures candidates integrate pedagogy with classroom practice and meet state standards.

Positions are semester-by-semester, with day, evening, and weekend options. Requires a Master's in education or related field and Texas teaching certification, plus three years of K-12 teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience.
• Master's degree or higher in education or a related field.
• At least 3 years of documented K-12 classroom teaching experience.
• Valid Texas Classroom Teaching Certificate.
• Preferred: 3+ years in administration/supervision and T-TESS Field Supervisor cert.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular observations with teacher candidates and pre/post conferences.
• Document observations and submit timely reports per program deadlines.
• Provide constructive feedback to candidates on classroom performance.
• Communicate progress with program staff and ISD partners.
• Notify leadership of candidate performance issues and progress.
• Assess progress using multiple measures and provide timely updates.
• Attend required in-service trainings with EPP and ISD partners.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and partners.
