Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part-time Family Store Assistant Manager in Michigan to assist the store manager in daily operations and customer service. This role involves supervising clerks, training staff, handling cash banking, and attending staff meetings.

You will work alongside store associates, stepping in as manager when the store manager is unavailable, and contribute to customer development and retention. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 2 years retail sales experience.
• Willingness to train and supervise staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clerks to ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with staff training for new personnel.
• Ensure daily cash receipts are banked and reported.
• Attend monthly managers' meetings and relay updates.
• Support customer development and retention for excellent service.
• Report safety hazards and protect personnel and property.
• Report any detrimental behavior by clerks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
