Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part-Time Family Store Assistant Manager to support the store manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring policy compliance and excellent customer service. This role shares duties with store associates and acts as manager in the absence of the store manager.

Responsibilities include supervising clerks, training staff, handling cash, attending staff meetings, driving customer development, reporting hazards, and supporting overall store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years experience in retail sales.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising clerks to ensure compliance with directives.
• Assist with training for new personnel.
• Assist with banking cash receipts and reporting.
• Attend monthly manager meetings and relay new policies.
• Assist with customer development and retention for excellent service.
• Report safety hazards and protect personnel and property.
• Report any detrimental behavior by clerks to the Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
