Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio, Inc. seeks a part-time Family & Child Program Associate for the STAR Corner at Akron Children's Beeghly Campus in Boardman, OH. You will register families, teach children, and provide resources and supportive activities during lessons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in classroom/childcare/pre-school setting.
• Associate or Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Family Studies is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license or State ID required.

Responsibilities

• Registers families and orients visitors/children to the STAR Corner.
• Follows STAR Corner policies and procedures and enforces them when necessary.
• Answers telephones and maintains statistical records.
• Works with visitors/children on age-appropriate lessons involving healthy habits and basic school readiness.
• Provides take-home information and resources to promote community support.
• Keeps STAR Corner neat and stocked with supplies and upholds hospital policies.
• Supports training, shadowing, and onboarding of new staff/volunteers.
• Assists in collecting program materials for marketing and development purposes.
