Job summary

Capella University seeks an adjunct/part-time faculty member to deliver instruction in social work using GuidedPath and FlexPath formats. You will mentor doctoral learners, participate in committees, and provide timely feedback through courseroom discussions and email.

The role requires a master’s in social work, a doctoral-level background preferred, and Minnesota licensure at hire. Occasional US travel may be required; teaching occurs onsite or remotely as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Doctorate in Social Work or related area preferred.
• Must hold a Social Work license and Minnesota licensure upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction from a pre-designed curriculum.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Be available within 48 hours by phone, email, and courseroom feedback.
• Travel within the US for doctoral residencies.
• Utilize online learning platform to enrich learning.
• Set high evaluation standards and clarify assessment.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and trainings.
• Support university needs through additional activities.
