Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Part-time Janitor/Maintenance Associate to maintain cleanliness and safety of building, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, basic repairs, setting up furniture for meetings, and helping with seasonal tasks. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Janitorial and maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Skills: Use of basic hand tools; detail oriented; ability to organize and carry out work with minimum supervision; ability to work with diverse socioeconomic groups.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum hallways, stairs, restrooms and office space.
• Empty all trash.
• Provide minor building maintenance and painting; assist with related tasks.
• Inspect and notify management of major repairs, safety or security issues.
• Set up furniture for meetings as required.
• Assist with unloading/donations and pantry restocking.
