Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in the United States is seeking a part-time Facilities Staff to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

You will assist in grounds, buildings, and operations, supporting the Facilities Director and preparing spaces for programs and events while upholding the mission's standards. This role also requires dependable work, attention to detail, and teamwork, with potential weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Background checks: Findings may disqualify an individual for this position.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work without supervision.
• Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and complete Safe From Harm training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas to ensure users receive safe, effective, and acceptable service.
• Maintain the facilities by cleaning, repairing, and replacing fixtures and equipment to assure a safe and productive facility.
• Adhere to, and if necessary reorganize, the daily custodial schedule of the building internally and externally (dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, windows, vacuuming, trash).
• Maintain the grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, property upkeep, security, and outdoor venue traffic control under supervision.
• Assist in the execution of events as directed by a supervisor.
