Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Venice, FL is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to maintain the cleanliness of buildings and grounds daily.

The role performs custodial tasks, cleans bathrooms and kitchens, sweeps and vacuums, handles laundry, and assists with meeting room setups and opening/closing duties. No formal education is required; at least six months of janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months experience performing general custodian/janitorial duties.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of buildings and grounds through daily housekeeping and custodial duties.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, offices, common areas, laundry areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors; clean windows; and dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Perform laundry duties, including washing, folding, and storing shelter laundry and linens, and regularly empty and collect trash.
• Assist with meeting room setups, groundskeeping, opening and closing the building, and other related duties as needed.
